Job Description: Strategic Sourcing Intern

The Strategic Sourcing Intern role at Breeze Airways is a foundational position within the Finance team, offering a comprehensive view of the organization’s development. This role is a serious commitment to bringing the airline to life, working collaboratively with various teams.

Core Responsibilities:
• Partner with Breeze teams in the planning, development, and execution of strategic sourcing projects and related initiatives.
• Leverage spend analytics and market intelligence to identify cost optimization opportunities for goods and services.
• Propose system process improvements related to sourcing.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance team to determine optimal spend timing for the start-up airline.
• Be involved in foundational programs and projects that will form the base of the airline.
• Assist with preparing RFPs (Request for Proposals), facilitating stakeholder alignment sessions, and conducting market due diligence.
• Build processes and procedures for proper spend management.
• Support strategic sourcing projects using standard methodologies, including estimating cost savings benefits and evaluating performance metrics (KPIs).
• Ensure compliance with operational requirements, internal controls, and regulations.
• Create ad-hoc analyses for operational, commercial, and administrative projects.
• Perform analysis of category spend to aid in developing sourcing strategies.
• Enhance and develop dashboards and metrics for daily, weekly, and monthly spend reporting.
• Engage with other departments to identify cost-saving or cost-avoidance opportunities.
• Develop cross-departmental relationships and strategic sourcing training programs.
• Generate standard monthly reports.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as determined by the senior executive team.
• Adhere to established standards and achieve performance measures in alignment with Breeze Aviation Group’s values.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications:
• 0-2 years of working experience in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), Accounting, or Finance.
• Currently working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire for success.
