Summer Internship Program

LAC offers a 10-12 week paid Summer Internship program designed to provide students with practical training and hands-on experience in the real estate industry. The program is designed to be dynamic and engaging, offering opportunities for development and dedicated support.

Program Details:

Dates: June 2, 2025 – August 8, 2025
Location: New York City
Eligibility: Students graduating in May/June 2026 are encouraged to apply.

Strategic Portfolio Finance Intern

This position is within LAC’s Finance team’s Strategic Portfolio department, reporting directly to the Strategic Portfolio Manager. The role provides exposure to the firm’s strategic asset management and portfolio optimization processes, offering hands-on experience in:

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the development and refinement of portfolio valuation models, including cash flow projections and IRR calculations.
• Conducting market research to assess external economic conditions impacting asset performance.
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and presentations on portfolio strategy and performance for senior management.
• Updating and analyzing data for portfolio optimization and rebalancing recommendations.
• Participating in strategic review sessions focused on capital allocation and asset-level forecasting.
• Contributing to ad-hoc analysis projects aimed at understanding risk-adjusted return metrics across the portfolio.
• Managing and supporting LAC’s internal RealPage AIM database, including onboarding new assets, implementing new fields, creating unique standardized reports, and ensuring data integrity and accessibility for team analysis and reporting needs.

Qualifications:

• Finance, economics, or stats major with a strong interest in real estate and strategic portfolio management.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to develop expertise in portfolio-level investment analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
