Senior Strategic Account Executive Travel and Hospitality | Microsoft

• Mission: This person is responsible for cultivating long-term, high-impact relationships with key Travel and Hospitality accounts, driving digital transformation through Microsoft’s cloud solutions.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Management: Develop, manage, and apply multi-year customer account plans based on proven methodologies to cultivate a sustainable, long-term business portfolio, identifying and leading strategies for high-volume sales and new opportunities for Microsoft and its partners.
• Customer Engagement: Proactively build and expand strategic relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers across the customer’s organization, understanding their business needs, priorities, and industry insights to deliver long-term differentiated value and anticipate future requirements.
• Sales Excellence: Orchestrate the development and execution of high-impact strategies that showcase Microsoft’s cloud offerings, enable digital transformation, and generate business value, leading to the closure of large, complex agreements and increased budget allocation to Microsoft.
• Strategic Influence & Ecosystem Development: Collaborate internally and externally with industry experts, partners, and decision-makers to strengthen industry knowledge, influence broader ecosystems (e.g., legislation), and bring together the ecosystem to enrich customer value and establish loyalty.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coordinate, mobilize, and mentor a diverse team of industry experts and account management professionals, driving accountability for plan execution, account growth, and the creation of new business opportunities within the assigned accounts.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of experience in the Travel & Hospitality industry or driving digital transformation; alternatively, a Master’s Degree with 9+ years, or 13+ years experience in the Travel & Hospitality industry or driving digital transformation.
• Experience: 10+ years making recommendations to or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives; 10+ years closing large, complex agreements/deals.
• Skills: Strategic Account Planning, Executive Relationship Management, Digital Transformation Orchestration, Competitive Analysis, Risk Mitigation.
• Bonus: Strong understanding of the Travel and Hospitality industry specifics.
