What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Deliver personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions on advanced mathematical statistics, covering topics from maximum likelihood estimation to nonparametric methods.
• Guide: Coach students through designing experiments, performing complex multivariate analysis, and implementing statistical models using relevant software.
• Clarify: Break down intricate theoretical concepts such as likelihood function derivations, posterior distribution calculations, and asymptotic theory, adapting explanations for diverse learners.
• Prepare: Equip masters and doctoral students for research methodology and advanced statistical analysis, connecting theory to real-world applications in fields like biostatistics.
• Utilize: Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, efficient lesson generation, and enhanced student engagement during sessions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced subject mastery in mathematical statistics, including maximum likelihood estimation, sufficient statistics, hypothesis testing theory, Bayesian inference, regression analysis, and experimental design.
• Experience: Familiarity with graduate statistics curricula and common student challenges, with the ability to prepare students for research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis.
• Skills: Proficiency in explaining complex concepts like asymptotic theory, Neyman-Pearson lemma, and generalized linear models; adeptness at guiding problem-solving; strong verbal and written communication; ability to adapt instruction using R or Python for statistical computing.
