Statistical Analyst I | American Greetings
The Tone:
This is an entry-level Statistical Analyst position at American Greetings, located in Westlake, Ohio, requiring regular on-site work at their Creative Studios. The company is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented professional to join its Business Intelligence team. This role is crucial for developing data-driven insights to solve business challenges, offering an excellent opportunity to build expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, reporting, and digital testing. The analyst will learn American Greetings’ data sources, business functions, and analytical tools to provide valuable insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Foundation: Gain a working knowledge of company data sources, data structures, analytical tools, and business operations.
• Process Execution: Execute standard reporting and analytical processes under the guidance of the Business Intelligence Director.
• Project Support: Assist with analytical projects and tasks to develop proficiency in data interpretation, statistical analysis, and reporting.
• Digital Optimization: Support digital testing initiatives, including A/B test design, implementation, analysis, and reporting, to optimize website performance and customer experience.
• Communication: Collaborate with senior analysts and the Director to communicate project objectives, status updates, and findings to internal stakeholders.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative analysis field with some knowledge of analytic computing/programming. This is an entry-level role for recent graduates or early-career professionals.
• Experience: Previous experience in statistical analysis or mathematical programming through summer internships, part-time work, or college projects is helpful but not essential.
• Skills: Quantitative skills, ability to apply statistical/data analysis techniques, some computer skills including SAS, Excel, and SPSS, accuracy and attention to detail, good oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: Master’s Degree preferred in a quantitative analysis field.
