What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare: Prepares federal and state tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various client types, including C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, and Individual entities.
• Assist: Organizes essential tax information, and assists with responses to tax notices and examinations, ensuring compliance and timely resolution.
• Support: Supports tax audits, conducts light research projects as needed, and monitors and reviews financial information for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate: Communicates work status, progress, and any client-related issues to Senior Tax professionals and Managers, maintaining clear reporting lines.
• Develop: Participates actively in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and cultivate industry-specific expertise.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required; this is an Entry-Level position. Candidates must possess general knowledge of federal and state tax laws, specifically covering corporate, individual, trust, gifts, and partnership taxation.
• Experience: Ability to apply basic accounting principles to various engagements is required; CPA eligibility is preferred for this role.
• Skills: Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interactions. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting is essential, alongside the capability to multi-task effectively across various projects.
• Bonus: A Master’s in Taxation is preferred. Knowledge of specific tax and accounting software such as CCH Axcess, Sureprep, XCM, and Caseware is also considered a significant plus for this role.
