• Mission: Support multiple business locations by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational analysis within the Midwest region.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Manage monthly and annual close activities for multiple operating units.
• Project Accounting: Support project accounting by analyzing cost-to-complete estimates and adjusting budgets for accurate percentage-of-completion reporting.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial results, prepare periodic forecasts, and generate accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance by supporting internal and external audits, filing payroll and sales/use tax returns, and assisting with inventory management.
• Regional Support: Provide operational support, training, and process improvement assistance to operating unit personnel and the Regional Controller.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience: At least one year of accounting experience.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bonus: Construction, project, or job-cost accounting experience; experience with ERP/accounting software systems; multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience; experience with Payroll, AP, AR, Inventory, or other accounting areas; experience with payroll tax and sales/use tax compliance.
