Staff Accountant | Amapharm GmbH

The Tone:
This is a full-time Staff Accountant role for Amapharm LLC, the U.S. entity of the Amapharm Group, located in Drums, PA. Amapharm is a leading international producer of nutraceutical gummy products, with its U.S. facility focusing on gummy packaging and fulfillment for major U.S. customers. This position is vital for strengthening our growing finance and operations team, supporting group reporting standards, and ensuring alignment with international processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that U.S. production results, inventory movements, and packaging activities are accurately reflected in our financial systems, collaborating regularly with colleagues in Germany and Switzerland.

The TL;DR

• Team: Collaborates closely with the CFO and international finance and operations teams.
• Mission: To ensure U.S. production results, inventory movements, and packaging activities are accurately reflected in financial systems, supporting group reporting standards, cross-border information flows, and international process alignment.
• Tech Stack: QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Accounting & Compliance: Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations in QuickBooks, ensuring US-GAAP accounting conformity, proper expense classification, accruals, and supporting documentation.
• Cash Flow Management: Oversee liquidity management, process payments, and handle foreign exchange (FX) payments for the company.
• Financial Closings: Lead monthly and year-end closing procedures, preparing international finance statements and financial statements for Amapharm LLC auditors.
• Audit Coordination: Collaborate with the CFO during year-end audits and coordinate effectively with external auditors to ensure compliance.
• Operational Finance Integration: Ensure cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory movements, and packaging activities in the U.S. are accurately reflected in financial systems, supporting reporting, planning, and cash flow initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Detail-oriented and proactive individual, motivated to work at the intersection of accounting, operations, and international finance.
• Experience: Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Skills: Ability to ensure US-GAAP accounting conformity. Capable of managing cross-border information flows and aligning with international processes.
• Bonus: Experience with U.S. GAAP accounting. Willingness to learn and work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as part of the company’s ERP transition. Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or logistics.
