Staff Accountant | Iberdrola Cogeneración S.R.L.U.

• Mission: Own financial record accuracy and support treasury functions for the Land and Resource Management segment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Directly assist the Senior Accountant with financial oversight for the Land and Resource Management business segment.
• Revenue Management: Accurately prepare and record all monthly surface, lease, easement, and material sales revenue (SLEM).
• Financial Reporting & Journal Entries: Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements, general ledger account reconciliations, and necessary journal entries.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analyses, while proactively investigating and resolving any accounting discrepancies.
• Treasury Operations: Execute daily Treasury reporting, provide assistance with cash forecasting, and prepare oil and gas royalty and SLEM related cash deposits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. This position is suitable for an Early Career professional with foundational accounting knowledge.
• Experience: Prior accounting experience of 1-2 years is preferred.
• Skills: Possess in-depth and current familiarity with GAAP. Must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with a preference for direct verbal interaction over emails, reflecting strong social intelligence. Requires exceptional productivity skills, including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Proficiency with the full suite of MS Office applications is essential. Candidates must also exhibit strong work ethic, integrity, mature business judgment, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure while managing workplace confidentiality.
• Bonus: Candidates holding a current CPA license or actively working towards one, and those with prior Oil & Gas industry experience, are preferred.
