What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Accounting: Maintain and reconcile investment partnership books and records, process investment activity, and oversee third-party administrators for accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Corporate Actions Analysis: Monitor and analyze corporate actions, determining accounting implications across entities and communicating proper treatments to stakeholders.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform comprehensive reconciliations of bank, investment, and capital accounts, resolving discrepancies and preparing transaction requests related to capital calls, distributions, and other fund activities.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement workflow improvements, proactively evaluate internal controls, and contribute to automation initiatives including Power BI reporting and process optimization.
• Data Review & Oversight: Review investment data, reconciliations, and supporting documentation prepared by internal teams and third-party administrators for accuracy and policy adherence.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Accounting with working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and investment accounting concepts such as capital calls, distributions, in-kind transfers, valuation adjustments, and partnership allocations.
• Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience required; public accounting experience preferred.
• Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency, analytical thinking, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, effective communication.
• Bonus: Experience with data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI.
