Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper | All Seniors Foundation
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at All Seniors Foundation, located in Los Angeles, CA. The company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults across Los Angeles County. They achieve this by providing medical care, in-home support, hospice and palliative care, cancer navigation, and over 200 other free services to qualifying seniors, regardless of insurance status. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate and audit-ready financial records, supporting the organization’s mission by ensuring accountability and transparent management of its funds.

• Mission: Maintain precise, audit-ready financial records for a nonprofit, ensuring financial integrity for senior care services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and complete bank reconciliations using QuickBooks or Sage Intacct.
• Fund Management: Track restricted versus unrestricted funds and accurately allocate expenses across various grants and programs.
• Payroll & Compliance: Process payroll, prepare contractor 1099s, and manage benefit deductions for the organization.
• Reporting & Audit Support: Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership and the Board of Directors, and assist with annual Form 990 preparation and the independent audit.
• Donor System Reconciliation: Reconcile data from donor management systems, such as DonorPerfect or Salesforce NPSP, with the primary accounting records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or as a staff accountant. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or Sage Intacct is required.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, and familiarity with GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles, including FASB ASU 2016-14.
• Bonus: Nonprofit fund accounting experience. Bilingual candidates (Spanish, Korean, Armenian, Mandarin, Russian, and other Los Angeles-area languages) are especially encouraged to apply.
