Sheehy Auto Stores operates numerous automotive dealerships, providing vehicles and related services to customers. This role is designed as a foundational training program, critical for developing the next generation of financial leaders who will manage the accounting operations of individual dealerships within the organization.

The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career
• Location: In-person, multiple dealership locations (travel required)
• Mission: To develop highly qualified Automotive Controllers by providing broad exposure to dealership accounting operations, financial management, and leadership practices.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate: Rotate through multiple dealership accounting offices on a dedicated training schedule.
• Gain Experience: Gain hands-on experience in dealership accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Analyze Operations: Conduct operational analysis within diverse dealership accounting environments.
• Collaborate: Work closely alongside experienced Controllers and dealership management teams.
• Develop Leadership: Develop the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a dealership accounting department.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. This role is designed for recent college graduates or early-career professionals.
• Experience: Up to two years of accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications; strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn; willingness to travel periodically to dealership locations for training.
• Bonus: Public accounting experience or internship experience.
