This is a full-time Staff Accountant role at a publicly traded real estate company, located in Dallas. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting crucial financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the company.

• Mission: This person will own the accurate preparation and reconciliation of financial accounts and statements for multiple commercial real estate properties.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Account Preparation: Prepare and post journal entries according to established accounting principles.
• Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Month-End Support: Assist actively in comprehensive month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
• Reporting & Audit: Generate accurate financial reports and provide essential support during audit procedures.
• Property Accounting: Perform dedicated accounting tasks specifically for multiple commercial real estate properties.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: Up to two years of relevant accounting experience, specifically including commercial real estate accounting.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail; Analytical problem-solving abilities; Eagerness to learn new processes and systems; Understanding of GAAP principles.
