Staff Accountant | Specialized Dental Partners

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Specialized Dental Partners, located in Franklin, TN. Specialized Dental Partners is a doctor-led network of over 275 specialty dental practices that provides the scale and resources for specialists and teammates to thrive. This role is crucial for managing the daily accounting activities, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting that underpins the organization’s business operations and supports its continued growth.

• Team: Reports to a divisional senior and manager
• Mission: Manages daily accounting activities, performs reconciliations, and supports financial reporting vital to business operations and month-end close.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office ®, Microsoft Excel, Sage Intacct (a plus)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage accounting activities: Perform general ledger entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support month-end close processes: Conduct bank reconciliations and assist with fixed assets tracking.
• Provide financial analysis: Perform basic data analysis to report recent and historical financial performance against prior periods and budget.
• Maintain financial records: Ensure all files and documentation are thoroughly and accurately maintained in accordance with company policy.
• Assist with ad hoc requests: Support the senior and manager by providing additional analyses for the finance or operations teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: No specific years required; familiarity with General Ledger (GL)/Accounting software is essential.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, oral and written communication skills, ability to use technology to collect and manipulate data, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects under deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software.
