• Mission: This role is responsible for supporting clients with tax compliance and planning, financial reporting, and outsourced accounting by preparing various financial documents and engaging directly with clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Preparation: Meticulously prepare individual, business, nonprofit, and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance for a diverse client base.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial statements and supporting accounting workpapers, contributing to robust financial reporting.
• General Ledger & Reconciliations: Perform accurate bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations, and prepare and post necessary journal entries.
• Client Accounting Services: Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and a variety of outsourced accounting services for clients.
• Data Review & Client Communication: Review financial information for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, maintain organized electronic workpapers, and communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve routine questions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. This is an early-career position, ideally suited for recent graduates or candidates possessing 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience: Candidates should have 1–3 years of accounting experience. A strong academic record, demonstrated by a GPA of 3.0 or higher, is preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong attention to detail and analytical abilities are essential. Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interaction, and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take on increasing responsibility is critical, along with the ability to appropriately handle confidential client information.
• Bonus: CPA eligibility or a clear interest in actively pursuing the CPA designation is a preferred qualification for this role.
