What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Closing: Assist with the daily activities of the accounting department and contribute significantly to the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare essential journal entries, perform detailed account reconciliations, and conduct thorough flux analysis to explain variances in financial data.
• Process Improvement: Actively work with the accounting team to identify and implement process improvements and develop scalable policies that will support the company’s continued growth and evolving needs.
• Audit Preparation: Assist in the comprehensive preparation and meticulous planning required for the annual financial statement audit, ensuring compliance and transparency.
• Strategic Insight: Collaborate effectively across various teams within the organization, providing actionable financial insights that empower data-driven decisions and optimize business outcomes.
• Project Support: Complete ad-hoc tasks and various project work as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting departmental goals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A 4-year degree with a strong concentration in Accounting, providing a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and practices essential for the role.
• Experience: 0-3 years of overall accounting experience, demonstrating foundational knowledge in financial record preparation and maintenance.
• Skills: Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling. Requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and effective time management skills to meet deadlines. Must possess an energetic and positive attitude, with the ability to clearly understand and articulate financial data and results. The capacity to complete projects on time with minimal supervision and work varied hours when necessary is also critical. Must have authorization to work in the US.
• Bonus: Exposure to specialized areas of accounting such as fixed assets and inventory accounting. Valuable experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is also preferred.
