Staff Accountant | Jobot
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Jobot, offering a hybrid work schedule. The company is seeking a Staff Accountant to support essential day-to-day accounting operations. This position offers a significant growth opportunity for degreed AP/AR specialists who are looking to advance into a broader accounting role. The role is critical for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and various internal and external reporting requirements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Daily Accounting: Manage daily accounting activities such as customer sales, vendor invoices, deposits, expenses, and credit card transactions, ensuring financial documentation is organized.
• Accounts Payable: Process and verify invoices, set up new vendors, maintain required tax documentation, and manage AP schedules, invoice approvals, and recurring payments.
• Accounts Receivable: Support collections efforts by tracking overdue balances and preparing status updates for management.
• Reconciliations & Journal Entries: Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, assist with sales clearing reconciliations, and prepare journal entries, accruals, and inventory adjustments.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and distribute various partner, technology, white-label, drop-ship, and revenue-sharing reports, and support VAT reporting and annual property tax filings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, or a similar accounting role, along with experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Skills: Knowledge of AP and AR processes, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Familiarity with tax and compliance documentation, including VAT, property tax, and W-9 requirements. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and clear written communication with stakeholders.
