The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TopBuild (now QXO), located in Daytona Beach, FL, requiring hybrid onsite presence. QXO is North America’s largest distributor and installer of insulation, aspiring to be a tech-enabled leader in the building products distribution industry. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, contributing to the company’s commitment to delivering solutions that make a difference in the communities it serves.

• Mission: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records through diligent accounting practices and analysis.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post monthly journal entries with supporting documentation, including recurring accruals and amortized transactions.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate identified variances.
• Close Processes: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct month-end analytical reviews of trial balance accounts, explaining material fluctuations.
• Audit Support: Gather documentation and prepare schedules to support internal and external audit requests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: 1+ years of general accounting experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, financial analysis, internal controls, written and verbal communication, time management, attention to detail.
• Bonus: Experience with Oracle, ERP systems, or large-scale accounting software; experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location environment.
