• Mission: This person is responsible for performing daily corporate accounting functions to ensure financial accuracy and compliance, working closely with corporate business units.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Assist the Accounting Department with the month-end closing processes for the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and purchasing modules.
• Financial Reconciliation: Post journal entries and prepare various reconciliations, including those for prepaids, insurance, and bank statements.
• Business Unit Support: Respond to inquiries from business units and undertake special assignments and projects as they arise to support corporate operations.
• Departmental Assistance: Provide support for general ledger functions, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll activities as needed within the department.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards and relevant SEC regulations in all accounting practices where applicable.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required, along with fundamental knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and SOX.
• Experience: Knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations is a required qualification for this position.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
