Staff Accountant | Mach Industries

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Data Management: Maintain and accurately enter financial data within QuickBooks and other internal accounting systems, supporting the foundation of financial records.
• Accounts Payable Processes: Support full accounts payable processes, including the review, coding, and processing of invoices, alongside coordination with vendors.
• Reconciliations and Reporting: Assist with detailed account reconciliations, expense reporting, transaction verification, and the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Project and Program Cost Tracking: Track specific project costs, monitor labor charges, and manage other program-related financial activity to ensure accurate allocation.
• Financial Analysis Support: Generate various reports and financial summaries for leadership and program teams, review accounting data for discrepancies, and assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, suitable for an entry-level professional.
• Experience: At least 1 year of accounting experience, including internships or entry-level finance roles, with familiarity in accounting software like QuickBooks or NetSuite.
• Skills: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements; proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite); strong organizational skills and attention to detail; and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Bonus: Experience supporting finance or accounting operations within government contracting, aerospace, manufacturing, or defense environments; familiarity with DCAA, FAR, or government accounting practices; exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or project cost tracking; and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
