Staff Accountant | Renova One

The Tone:
This is a full-time Staff Accountant role at Renova One. Renova One unites 11 trusted companies to provide seamless renovation and restoration solutions for multi-family, single-family, and commercial properties nationwide. This position is vital for supporting daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, subcontractor payments, and account reconciliations. The Staff Accountant ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards, contributing to the company’s commitment to quality and lasting value.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Payments Processing: Process and log accounts payable transactions and payments to installers and subcontractors.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger entries to ensure accuracy.
• Month-End Support: Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries.
• Financial Documentation: Prepare and maintain financial reports, detailed spreadsheets, and essential supporting documentation.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Monitor accounts and resolve any discrepancies found in invoices, payments, or account balances.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a solid understanding of debit/credit principles and general ledger fundamentals.
• Experience: 1-4 years of accounting experience, with a preference for 1-2 years in public accounting or 3-4 years in private industry accounting, including experience with accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger work.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills are required to manage financial data and reports effectively.
• Bonus: Experience with billing processes, knowledge of the construction industry, and familiarity with Salesforce are all preferred qualifications.
