Staff Accountant | Power Design

The Tone:

Power Design is a national design-build contractor, focused on innovative construction across multiple trades including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and systems technologies. This Staff Accountant role is a key position on the General Ledger Accounting team, responsible for ensuring financial reporting is accurate, timely, and built on a solid foundation for the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconcile: Verify general ledger accounts to ensure information is complete and accurate.
• Research: Identify and research discrepancies found in accounts to resolution.
• Analyze: Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial reports for accuracy and compliance, recommending changes as necessary.
• Support: Assist with month-end close processes.
• Contribute: Take on special projects as needed, gaining exposure to broader finance initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a working knowledge of general accounting procedures and principles.
• Experience: At least one year of related professional work experience with accounting responsibilities.
• Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
