What You’ll Actually Do
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation.
• Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Financial Closings: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset and prepaid account records, calculating depreciation and amortization.
• Reporting & Audits: Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., Business with an Accounting concentration) with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience: Up to 2 years of general accounting experience, including internships, co-ops, or academic research roles.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite) or CPA candidate/CPA certification.
