Staff Accountant | Three Guys Master Tradesmen

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Three Guys Master Tradesmen, located in Clearwater, FL. Three Guys Master Tradesmen is a rapidly growing residential home services company serving homeowners throughout the Tampa Bay area, providing HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and other skilled trade services. This Staff Accountant position plays an important role in supporting the company’s daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with the month-end close process. This person will help strengthen accounting processes while supporting a growing business and will make a meaningful impact on the organization as it scales.

• Mission: Support the daily accounting operations and accurate financial record-keeping for a rapidly expanding residential home services company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable: Review and reconcile accounts receivable, ensuring invoices are accurate and payments are applied correctly, and research and resolve customer account discrepancies.
• Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, set up and maintain vendor records, manage W-9 documentation, and prepare annual 1099 filings.
• General Accounting: Assist with the monthly close process by preparing journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, reconciling balance sheet accounts, capitalizing fixed and intangible assets, maintaining depreciation and amortization schedules, and preparing tangible personal property tax filings.
• Process Improvement: Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls, and support leadership with financial reporting and special projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, with working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience: 1–2 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities, excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Bonus: Experience with QuickBooks, ServiceTitan, job costing, or within the construction, home services, or skilled trades industry.
