Staff Accountant | Group O

The Tone:
This is a full-time Staff Accountant role at Group O, situated in Milan, IL, within the Finance Department. What You’ll Actually Do
• Core Accounting Oversight: Manage the diligent review of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately and adhere to established guidelines.
• Comprehensive Reconciliations: Execute precise bank account reconciliations and comprehensive general ledger reconciliations, alongside performing all necessary general ledger entries to maintain financial accuracy.
• Insightful Financial Reporting: Generate and meticulously analyze financial reports, providing critical data and insights to support strategic decision-making within various operational teams.
• Budget and Forecast Participation: Actively participate in the preparation and thorough review of budgets and forecasts, contributing to the financial planning efforts for assigned business units.
• Operational Accounting Support: Conduct detailed reviews of invoices and provide essential accounting-related support and guidance to operational departments, addressing inquiries and ensuring compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated capability in financial statement preparation, general ledger reconciliation, and budgeting/forecasting.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; aptitude for learning Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software; excellent math skills; strong attention to detail; problem-solving ability.
