Staff Accountant | HOONIGAN

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hoonigan. With distribution centers across North America, Australia, and Europe, Hoonigan supports over 30,000 retailers and a growing e-commerce presence, ensuring reliable access to products like wheels, suspension, lighting, and accessories. This Staff Accountant role is crucial for upholding the financial integrity and accuracy of the company’s operations, ensuring all financial records are precise, and supporting the timely and compliant preparation of financial statements and reports as the business evolves.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reconciliation: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Financial Close Support: Assist in the monthly and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Audit & Filings Collaboration: Collaborate on the preparation of monthly filings and support annual financial statement audits.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Daily Accounting Operations: Perform a variety of journal entries, reconciliations, and other daily accounting tasks in compliance with GAAP standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess foundational core domain knowledge in accounting principles and practices relevant to maintaining accurate financial records.
• Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of professional accounting experience. Experience gained specifically in public accounting is considered a strong preference and valuable asset for this role.
• Skills: Exhibits strong analytical capabilities for examining financial data, meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy, and robust organizational skills for managing various financial documents and processes. Demonstrates effective problem-solving abilities when addressing discrepancies or challenges, and the capacity to meet strict deadlines while efficiently managing multiple accounting priorities.
• Bonus: Proven proficiency with accounting software is required, with specific experience using SAP being a significant advantage. Strong command of MS Excel for data analysis and reporting is also highly valued.
