• Mission: Owns maintaining accurate financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the accounting manager in critical financial processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Record Management: Maintain comprehensive financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Account Reconciliation & Close: Prepare journal entries, perform detailed analyses and account reconciliations, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with monthly close processes.
• Budget Development & Analysis: Contribute to the development, review, and monitoring of annual operating budgets and performance projections, while also preparing various financial analyses and reports.
• Audit & Compliance: Maintain thorough documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, receivable, and treasury functions, conduct internal audits, ensure compliance with GAAP, and assist with external audit processes.
• Reporting & Managerial Support: Meet processing and reporting deadlines, respond to information requests from management, review financial statements, and provide direct assistance to the accounting manager as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; entry-level accounting professional with foundational knowledge of financial principles.
• Experience: 0-2 years of accounting experience; practical proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), strong financial and analytical capabilities, good problem-solving and time management skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, working knowledge of GAAP.
