This is a full-time role at our client’s organization, located in the Greater Murfreesboro Area. Our client is a rapidly expanding company currently undergoing an exciting phase of growth and seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant. This position is vital for contributing to the development of crucial accounting processes and infrastructure. The role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and helping to shape the financial framework of a growing organization.

• Mission: This person will support day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a rapidly expanding organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Execute: Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Maintain: Ensure the accuracy of financial records and support general ledger activities to uphold data integrity.
• Analyze: Prepare and review financial data to confirm accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
• Administer: Support transactional accounting functions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Improve: Contribute to the refinement and development of accounting procedures and broader process improvements within the department.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, providing a foundational understanding of core accounting principles and full-cycle accounting processes. This educational background ensures a solid grasp of both the theoretical and practical aspects of financial management.
• Experience: Possess 1-2 years of professional experience specifically in a Staff Accountant role or a similar accounting position. Previous exposure to ERP systems is strongly preferred, indicating familiarity with integrated software solutions for managing business functions.
• Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities to interpret financial data, excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, and effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. The ability to work effectively in an environment with evolving processes is also essential.
• Bonus: Prior experience within the manufacturing, building materials, construction, or automotive manufacturing sectors is a significant advantage. Furthermore, knowledge of ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) or percentage-of-completion accounting methods is a valuable asset.
