• Job Title: Springs Preserve Intern
• Job Type: Temporary
• Location: Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd., Las Vegas, NV
• Salary: $16.00 – $20.00 hourly (based on education level).
• Hours of Work: Up to 25 hours weekly, typically scheduled between Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday from 9:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. There is a possibility of occasionally working earlier than 9:00 a.m. or later than 4:00 p.m. to support special events/projects.

General Purpose of the Role:
Under direct supervision, the Intern assists with a variety of duties to support the conservation education programs at Springs Preserve. This involves participating in and helping to conduct youth, adult, and family programming. A key aspect of the role is engaging guests of various ages in conservation education sessions, activities, and events throughout the Preserve venues, aiming to help participants learn about and appreciate the natural world.

• The ability to engage program participants of all ages in learning and appreciating lessons of the natural world.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
The successful candidate will be required to pass both a drug screening and a background check.
Eligibility/Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in any field.
• Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level).
• A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Availability to work up to 25 hours weekly.
• Possession of a valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus.
Application Process and Important Tips:
• Completeness is Key: All parts of the application, including work history, applicable education, and answers to supplemental questions, must be completed in detail. Referring to a resume instead of filling out sections is not acceptable and will result in rejection.
• No Saving In-Progress: The application system is unable to save applications that are in progress.
• No Reapplying or Editing: Once an application is submitted, you cannot reapply or edit it.
• Record Keeping: Submitted applications are not viewable. It is strongly recommended to type responses to questions in a Word document first, then copy and paste them into the application, saving the Word document as a personal record. This also helps minimize typing/grammatical errors.
