Sports Marketing Intern | Recorded Sports
The Tone:
This is a remote internship at Recorded Sports, a growing sports-focused organization dedicated to enhancing how fans, athletes, and partners engage with sports content and experiences. • Mission: This intern will support day-to-day marketing and outreach activities to enhance how fans, athletes, and partners engage with sports content and experiences.
• Tech Stack: spreadsheets, presentation software, social media platforms, analytics tools (familiarity is a plus)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Campaign Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media content, email outreach initiatives, and basic promotional materials.
• Market & Competitor Research: Conduct thorough market and competitor research to gather insights and inform marketing strategies.
• Engagement Tracking: Track engagement metrics across various platforms and campaigns to monitor effectiveness and inform future efforts.
• Database Maintenance: Maintain and update databases containing information on fans, partners, and prospective clients.
• Outreach & Inquiry Support: Help respond to basic customer and fan inquiries, and support sales and partnership outreach by preparing necessary materials.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student. A strong demonstrated interest in sports, digital media, or marketing through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities is required. Enrollment in or recent completion of a program in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: Relevant interest or experience in Sales & Marketing to support outreach, lead follow-up, and promotional initiatives. No specific years of experience are required for this internship role.
• Skills:
* Strong Communication and Customer Service skills for professional interactions with fans, partners, and internal team members.
* Ability to contribute to Team Leadership efforts by collaborating effectively, taking initiative, and supporting group objectives.
* Comfort working in a remote environment, demonstrating reliable internet access, strong time-management skills, and self‑motivation.
* Basic proficiency with common digital tools such as spreadsheets, presentation software, and social media platforms.
• Bonus: Familiarity with analytics tools is considered a plus.
