Space Intern | Constellation Brands

The Tone:
This is an internship at Constellation Brands, located in Chicago, IL, with additional locations available in Denver, CO, and St. Louis, MO. Constellation Brands is a leading beverage alcohol company, and this role contributes directly to how our products are presented and sold in retail environments. As a Space Intern, you will gain meaningful exposure to the execution of a key component of our business plan: optimizing product placement to drive sales. Your work will directly support the ‘Shopper First Shelf’ initiative, ensuring our products are effectively positioned for consumers and contributing to overall business growth.

• Team: Space Execution team, reporting to the Space Execution Manager
• Mission: Support and optimize ‘Shopper First Shelf’ performance to drive sales through strategic product placement and data management.
• Tech Stack: Power BI, Space Station, Store360, Blue Yonder Space Planning software, Compass, Anaplan, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, various communication platforms.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Performance Oversight: Support the Space initiative by overseeing reporting and tracking results.
• Submission Validation: Assist with validating, recording, and uploading Shopper First Shelf submissions.
• Planogram Development: Use Blue Yonder Space Planning software to validate and build store-level proposals, ensuring proper Shopper First Shelf standards are achieved.
• Opportunity Identification: Support in identifying market-specific Shopper First Shelf opportunities and recommending corrective actions for Wholesaler’s Shopper First Shelf gaps.
• Results Tracking: Track and scorecard results pertaining to the Shopper-First Shelf program, preparing recaps for the broader team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: College-level Junior/Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an interest in a sales or sales support career.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization; detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
