STEP Associate (Sales Rotational Program) | Echo Electric
The Tone:
This is a 12-month sales rotational program, the Sonepar Training for Emerging Professionals Program (STEP), located in Columbus, OH. Echo Electric, a brand under Sonepar, is a leader in electrical distribution with over $1.2 billion in sales across a nine-state region and is part of the worldwide leader in electrical distribution. This program is designed to provide dynamic, intensive training and development for emerging professionals, offering hands-on experience in every aspect of the business. Participants will contribute to Echo Electric’s success by adapting to new situations, challenging the status quo appropriately, and learning from others, all while gaining valuable business acumen within a global organization that values performance, people, customers, and sustainability.
The TL;DR
• Role: Early Career Rotational Program
• Location: In-person – Columbus, OH
• Mission: Educate, train, and develop skills in emerging professionals to establish their careers within the electrical distribution industry.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Warehouse/Logistics: Gain practical experience in warehouse operations and logistics processes.
• Inside Sales/Counter: Develop proficiency in inside sales functions and customer counter service.
• Projects & Quotations: Learn to manage projects and prepare comprehensive quotations for clients.
• Marketing/Digital Solutions/E-Commerce: Understand and apply marketing strategies, digital solutions, and E-Commerce operations.
• Outside Sales/Specialty Track: Acquire hands-on experience in outside sales and specialized product tracks.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. This is an entry-level position for emerging professionals.
• Experience: Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; flexible and adaptable team player; enthusiastic and self-starter attitude.
