Job Summary: Solar Intern

As a Solar Intern, you will play a crucial supporting role in key initiatives across various facets of our solar energy projects, including development, engineering, and business operations. This position offers invaluable hands-on exposure to the dynamic renewable energy industry, allowing you to contribute to real-world projects while simultaneously developing essential technical, analytical, and professional skills.

You will work cross-functionally with diverse teams such as Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project Development. Your contributions will involve assisting with research, conducting data analysis, meticulously maintaining documentation, and supporting overall project execution. This internship is an ideal opportunity for individuals passionate about pursuing a career in clean energy and sustainability, providing a foundational understanding of the industry’s intricate workings.

This role demands a detail-oriented and collaborative approach, requiring strong organizational skills, intellectual curiosity, and an enthusiastic willingness to learn and adapt within a fast-paced environment. You will gain comprehensive insight into the full lifecycle of solar energy projects, from the early stages of development and opportunity identification through successful execution and continuous performance monitoring.

This position reports directly to senior team members and involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams across the entire organization, fostering a rich learning and development experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Organize, maintain, and update project documentation and internal databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assist with the preparation and thorough review of project-related documents and deliverables.
  • Support operational teams with essential administrative and coordination tasks to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve existing workflows and documentation processes for greater efficiency.
  • Assist with research on new markets, state-level regulations, and available incentives to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support the tracking of project opportunities and the maintenance of development pipelines.
  • Contribute to the preparation of compelling proposals, bids, and client-facing materials.
  • Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Development teams to achieve project goals.
  • Support seamless communication and coordination efforts across various departments.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, project discussions, and strategic planning sessions, offering valuable insights.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Environmental Studies, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of solar energy concepts and systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced industry.
