• Team: AI/ML Platform Team, collaborating with data scientists, ML engineers, and other platform teams.
• Mission: This person owns the design, development, and maintenance of the core AI/ML infrastructure, enabling data scientists and ML engineers to train, deploy, and monitor models at scale.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design: Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and efficient components for the AI/ML platform, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, serving, and monitoring.
• Architect: Architect and implement solutions for complex MLOps challenges, such as continuous integration/delivery for models, versioning, reproducibility, and experiment tracking.
• Collaborate: Collaborate closely with data scientists and ML engineers to understand their workflows, gather requirements, and provide expert guidance on platform utilization.
• Optimize: Optimize performance and resource utilization of the ML infrastructure, ensuring efficient execution of large-scale training jobs and low-latency model inference.
• Mentor: Mentor junior engineers, provide technical leadership, and contribute to the overall growth and skill development of the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level Software Engineer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 2 years specifically focused on building or supporting AI/ML platforms or large-scale data systems.
• Skills: Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or Scala (Python highly preferred); extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); a solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design; and experience with building and optimizing data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Flink, or Kafka.
• Bonus: Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow), understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms, and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
