Software Engineer Intern (Business Integrity) – 2026 Summer (BS/MS) | TikTok
The Tone:
This is an internship at TikTok, the leading global destination for short-form mobile video, driven by a mission to inspire creativity and bring joy. This role is specifically within the Business Integrity team, which is dedicated to technical excellence and a strong user focus. The team’s primary responsibility is to build and maintain industry-leading Ads Risk Control systems. These systems are crucial for rewarding high-quality user experiences, establishing trust between customers and business service providers, and ultimately ensuring that TikTok’s platforms and services are reliable and high-performing. As an intern, you will gain comprehensive domain knowledge in ads moderation, risk control, and policy, contributing directly to these core objectives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Development: Build highly scalable systems for ad fraud detection, risk control, and ads integrity.
• User Experience Improvement: Improve user experiences by developing robust ad moderation systems across the platform.
• Knowledge Base Creation: Collaborate with users to develop next-generation knowledge base systems, including search engines, workflow automation, and AI-empowered tools.
• Organizational Contribution: Contribute to the success of a rapidly growing and evolving organization by delivering work with speed and quality.
• Global Collaboration: Work with Product Management and Research & Development teams worldwide.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possessing equivalent practical experience.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in general-purpose programming languages.
• Problem Solving: Possess the ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way.
• Communication: Maintain proactive communication with team members.
• Bonus: Experience with one or more general-purpose programming languages including Go, C/C++, Python, or Java; or knowledge in areas such as full-stack development, large-scale systems, or data.
