Software Engineer, Internship | Palantir Technologies
The Tone:
This is an internship at Palantir Technologies, with in-person or hybrid options available in company offices. As an intern, you will contribute high-quality code to core products, creating features used by a diverse range of professionals worldwide, making your work directly impactful on real-world problems. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person/Hybrid in company offices
• Pay: $10500 monthly
• Team: Small teams of Software Engineers within the Product Development organization, each focusing on a specific aspect of a product.
• Mission: Build software at scale to transform how organizations around the world use data.
• Tech Stack: Java, Go, Typescript, Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, Redux, Gradle, GitHub
What You’ll Actually Do
• Code Contribution: Contribute high-quality code directly to Palantir Gotham, Palantir Foundry, or Palantir Apollo products.
• Feature Development: Create features used by diverse professionals, including research scientists, aerospace engineers, intelligence analysts, and economic forecasters.
• Product Lifecycle Involvement: Be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from idea generation, design, and prototyping to execution and shipping.
• Customer Problem Solving: Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customer problems and build products that tackle them.
• User Engagement: Potentially tour facilities or join users at their desks to gain a deep understanding of their mission and difficulties.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing an Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics, planning to graduate in 2028 and completing your final internship.
• Experience: Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools, along with experience coding in languages such as Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• Skills: Ability to write clean, effective code, learn new languages quickly, communicate and collaborate effectively with diverse individuals, and make decisions independently while knowing when to ask questions.
• Bonus: Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
