Software Engineer Intern | The Trade Desk
The Tone:
This is a hybrid internship at The Trade Desk, located at a single specified North American office. This role is crucial for developing substantial projects that contribute to a better media ecosystem and supports the company’s culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration. What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead the development and delivery of a significant software project from start to finish.
• Gain guidance and support through one-on-one mentorship with an experienced software engineer.
• Engage in cross-functional teamwork with global engineering teams, fellow interns, and various departments.
• Apply and learn new technologies within areas like distributed systems, large-scale data processing, machine learning/AI, and user interface development.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, with an expected graduation date between Autumn 2026 and Summer 2027.
• Experience: Fluent in one or more modern object-oriented programming languages and possessing a strong understanding of basic data structures and algorithmic techniques.
• Skills: Quick and self-directed learner, capable of independently designing, planning, and implementing project solutions with close support and mentorship.
