Job Summary:
Red Aspen is seeking a Software Developer Intern to join their eCommerce team. This role offers hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms and web development, specifically focusing on Shopify.

Responsibilities:
The intern will contribute to various aspects of Red Aspen’s online presence, including:
• Assisting with the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the company’s ecommerce website, working under the guidance of the Shopify Developer.
• Providing support for the execution of complex customizations and integrations, which involves helping to connect Shopify with various third-party applications, APIs, and services.
• Participating in performance audits of the website, which includes identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimizations to improve site speed, responsiveness, and conversion rates.
• Collaborating with designers to effectively translate visual concepts into functional, mobile-responsive pages on Shopify, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics.
• Conducting research on industry trends and staying up-to-date with the latest Shopify development practices, tools, and frameworks.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in web development, ecommerce platforms, or IT systems, coupled with a strong willingness to learn Shopify.
• Possession of strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail, alongside a proactive and curious approach to learning and work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• A continuous learning mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• A unique personal requirement: Must have a love for tacos or sushi!
