Social Media Manager | Law-Tie

The Tone:
This is an unpaid role at Law-Tie, located remotely. Law-Tie is a mission-driven platform dedicated to connecting law students and individuals with proven legal knowledge to pro-bono lawyers. This collaboration supports youth under 25 who are facing court injustices, providing them with essential legal assistance and age-appropriate emotional support. The Social Media Manager role is critical in shaping and executing Law-Tie’s online presence, driving awareness, engagement, and community growth to amplify the platform’s impact and reach more young people and legal volunteers.

The TL;DR

• Mission: This person owns the strategic development and daily management of Law-Tie’s social media presence, driving awareness and engagement to connect legal volunteers with youth in need and showcase the platform’s collaborative impact.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Content Strategy & Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive social media calendars, creating engaging written and visual content that is optimized for various platforms to increase overall awareness, engagement, and community growth.
• Community Engagement & Moderation: Monitor all social media channels on a daily basis, promptly and professionally responding to comments and messages to foster a positive and interactive community.
• Performance Analysis & Strategy Refinement: Track and analyze social media performance metrics to continuously refine strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals, supporting broader marketing initiatives as necessary.
• Collaborative Storytelling: Work closely with internal stakeholders to curate and highlight compelling student stories, successful lawyer partnerships, available training opportunities, and key impact updates, ensuring all content aligns with Law-Tie’s mission and brand voice.
• Trend Research & Campaign Development: Research current trends in legal education and social impact to propose innovative social media campaign ideas that resonate with target audiences and further Law-Tie’s objectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a strong understanding of social media marketing principles and demonstrated experience in developing and executing content strategies for various social platforms.
• Experience: Proven ability to effectively manage multiple social media channels and their respective content calendars.
• Skills: Excellent communication and writing skills, with a proven ability to tailor messages effectively for diverse target audiences.
• Bonus: Prior experience in nonprofit organizations, social impact initiatives, youth advocacy, or the legal and education sectors is highly valued.
