Jr. Social Media & Digital Content Intern | Nekia Nichelle, LLC.

The Tone:
This is a 6-month, unpaid internship at Nekia Nichelle, LLC, operating JustNLife.com, a luxury digital publication. This role is designed for serious, reliable, and creatively sharp individuals ready to build a career in social media and digital content within a real-time digital media environment. The internship is a pipeline for future Social Media Managers, Content Producers, and Digital Strategists, investing in those committed to the work. Interns contribute to shaping conversations and inspiring audiences by spotlighting entertainment, lifestyle, wellness, beauty, and culture.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: 6-month, unpaid (flexible remote structure; 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST | Monday – Friday availability required)
• Location: Remote, Chicago, IL

• Team: Works alongside senior leadership and participates in weekly mandatory Monday team meetings.
• Mission: To curate and publish engaging, platform-specific social content daily that aligns with the publication’s luxury voice and keeps its audience boldly Nspired.
• Tech Stack: Canva, publishing tools

What You’ll Actually Do
• Curate and draft engaging, platform-specific social posts with scroll-stopping captions aligned with the editorial voice.
• Identify and source trending entertainment and lifestyle content for daily publishing.
• Create Canva graphics using provided templates and assist with short-form video edits.
• Repurpose editorial articles and YouTube clips into high-performing social content, organizing them for scheduling using publishing tools.
• Capture social content at select Chicago-based events when applicable, and pitch original content ideas that increase engagement and visibility.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student or early-career individual seeking to build a career in social media, with a love for lifestyle and pop culture.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing, with comfort on camera or willingness to grow into it.
• Skills: Intermediate – Advanced Canva proficiency, strong writing skills and understanding of platform voice, strong communication skills, highly organized and responsive, and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
• Bonus: Preferably lives in the Chicago area and can occasionally attend select events to capture content.
