Internship – Social Media | NuScale Power
The Tone:
This is an Internship position at NuScale Power, located remotely. NuScale Power is a leading developer of small modular reactor (SMR) technology, focused on designing, licensing, and commercializing safe, scalable nuclear power modules. Founded in 2007, the company aims to improve the quality of life for humankind by advancing carbon-free nuclear power and targets global energy markets. This role is crucial in supporting the Marketing team by creating and publishing engaging social media content across various platforms.

• Pay: $25–$30 hourly
• Team: Reports to the Director of Digital Marketing, supporting the Marketing team.
• Mission: This role supports the Marketing team in creating and publishing social media content to promote NuScale Power’s mission and technology.
• Tech Stack: LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook
What You’ll Actually Do
• Create and Publish: Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), and Facebook.
• Content Development: Support content development, encompassing copywriting, basic graphic design, short-form video, and story concepts.
• Monitor and Engage: Monitor social media channels, respond to appropriate comments and messages, and identify engagement opportunities.
• Research Trends: Research industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media best practices to inform strategy.
• Maintain Brand: Help maintain brand voice, tone, and visual consistency across all social media platforms.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited 4-year undergraduate degree program (Junior or Senior standing) or an advanced degree program in a related field. Eligibility requires US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency due to compliance with government authorizations.
• Experience: Requires strong written communication skills and familiarity with social media platforms.
• Skills: Strong written communication, social media platform familiarity, basic graphic design, short-form video creation.
• Bonus: A GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred. Experience creating social media content for a company or organization is also preferred.
