Operation Trainee Skillbridge Program | Bunge

This is an Operation Trainee role within the DOD SkillBridge program at Bunge, with the specific opportunity in Destrehan, Louisiana, though the program recruits across multiple US locations. The TL;DR

What You’ll Actually Do
• Safety Leadership: Learn, understand, and demonstrate safe work habits to train, develop, and lead the Bunge safety culture.
• Operational Participation: Participate fully in the day-to-day physical operation of a Bunge facility to understand fundamental operations and processes.
• Process Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of operational processes and demonstrate this knowledge by responding to verbal or written inquiries.
• Operational Condition Support: Assist location and corporate staff in evaluating changing operational conditions and communicate findings to appropriate personnel in a timely fashion, while also assisting the facility in prioritizing and optimizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Project & Improvement Support: Assist plant management with projects, drawing reviews, equipment specifications, operational narrative preparations, employee training, commissioning a start-up, support regional continuous improvement efforts, and review production data routinely for accuracy and continuous improvements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidate must be approved to participate in the DOD SkillBridge program.
• Experience: Must be a collaborative team player with a priority focus on safety. Requires the ability to manage multiple and shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and change. Willingness to relocate for future growth opportunities and/or business demands is essential.
• Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Must be well organized, goal oriented, and self-directed. Demonstrates mechanical and analytical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills. Proficiency in standard PC applications.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or vocational degree.
