About the Company:
Amentum, in partnership with Lensa and the Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge Program, is seeking transitioning service members for a SkillBridge Internship/Fellowship – Cybersecurity Engineer role. Amentum is a major engineering solutions provider working with NASA at centers across the United States, supporting NASA’s pursuits in deep space exploration.
Job Description:
This is a temporary (not to exceed 24 weeks) SkillBridge Internship/Fellowship position located onsite at NASA in Houston, TX. The role is designed for transitioning service members from all branches of the U.S. Military. As a Cybersecurity Engineer intern, you will work with a dynamic team to help build out the next generation spacecraft integration and test facility. You will be expected to maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interface with NASA Software and Hardware Engineering Leads
• Perform assessment for completeness of design and implementation throughout the full software and hardware development lifecycle
• Support the development of CDR and manufacturing readiness review products and participate in module system reviews
• Develop cybersecurity requirements for spacecraft systems
• Work with the spacecraft module vendors to establish cybersecurity plans and verify compliance
• Perform cybersecurity oversight and impact assessments
• Support cybersecurity incident investigation and resolution
• Ensure systems comply with scanning of spacecraft systems per government, NASA, and Johnson Space Center specific requirements
• Ensure findings in the security assessment report are addressed and closed through remediation or risk assessment
• Coordinate with external organizations to perform cybersecurity remediation
• Perform other duties as assigned
