Job Description: SkillBridge Internship/Fellowship – Cybersecurity Engineer
Amentum is seeking a SkillBridge Intern/Fellow for a temporary role (not to exceed 24 weeks) as a Cybersecurity Engineer at NASA in Houston, TX. This is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable experience working onsite at NASA, preparing them for future career opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors.
• Interface with NASA Software and Hardware Engineering Leads.
• Perform assessment for completeness of design and implementation throughout the full software and hardware development lifecycle.
• Support the development of CDR and manufacturing readiness review products and participate in module system reviews.
• Develop cybersecurity requirements for spacecraft systems.
• Work with the spacecraft module vendors to establish cybersecurity plans and verify compliance.
• Perform cybersecurity oversight and impact assessments.
• Support cybersecurity incident investigation and resolution.
• Ensure systems comply with scanning of spacecraft systems per government, NASA, and Johnson Space Center specific requirements.
• Ensure findings in the security assessment report are addressed and closed through remediation or risk assessment.
• Coordinate with external organizations to perform cybersecurity remediation.
