Skillbridge – Fellowship | Caterpillar Inc.

The Tone:
This is a temporary, in-person fellowship at Caterpillar Inc., located in assigned/accepted locations and requiring onsite work five days a week. This role is a structured program designed for military transitioners to perform project-based work, contributing to initiatives that drive operational excellence, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness across various business functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis and Implementation: Assist with the analysis, development, and implementation of new or improved processes, products, or systems across functions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects, solve problems, and deliver business outcomes.
• Operational Support: Support the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of business operations, processes, or programs.
• Issue Resolution: Help identify, analyze, and resolve operational or technical issues using structured problem-solving approaches.
• Documentation Contribution: Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, or documentation to support business objectives.
• Data Interpretation: Gather, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Military training and/or a college degree, with mandatory approval for the Skillbridge program.
• Experience: Participation in a structured project-based work program lasting between 30 and 120 days.
• Skills: Effective Communications, Teamwork, Flexibility and Adaptability, Initiative and Continuous Learning, and Problem Solving.
• Bonus: A cover letter explaining military transition timeline, program approval status (if known), locations of interest, and roles of interest.
