This is a site-based leadership role at Wood, located in Habshan, Abu Dhabi. Wood’s Oil, Gas & New Energies business designs and delivers large and complex projects globally, focusing on integrated and innovative solutions for upstream and midstream oil and gas, gas to liquids, decarbonization, and electrification markets. This role is critical for the successful execution of a multi-billion-dollar project, enabling the delivery of transformative projects that provide sustainable power and bring low-carbon concepts to reality.

• Mission: Lead and coordinate all site materials management activities to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted construction execution for a high-profile EPCM project.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead and coordinate all site-based materials management activities for a multi-billion-dollar Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) project.
• Ensure all construction materials, equipment, and bulk commodities are received, inspected, stored, preserved, controlled, and issued according to project specifications and schedule.
• Establish and maintain an integrated site materials management system in close collaboration with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
• Drive material availability, inventory accuracy, traceability, preservation, and construction readiness across all disciplines and work fronts.
• Lead warehouse operations, supervise materials staff, and ensure adherence to HSE standards and project materials management procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Materials Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Site-based materials leadership on major projects.
• Experience: Typically 15+ years of relevant experience in materials management, warehouse operations, logistics, or construction supply chain management, with substantial experience on major EPC/EPCM projects. Demonstrated experience in a site-based materials leadership role on large-scale oil and gas, energy, or industrial infrastructure projects, including managing warehouses, laydown areas, personnel, and subcontractor interfaces.
• Skills: Strong understanding of site materials management processes, including receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, inventory control, material issuing, and reconciliation. Proven experience with project ERP and materials management systems (preferably SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Working knowledge of construction work packages, material take-offs, and various construction materials.
• Bonus: Previous experience in the UAE or wider GCC region, particularly on large-scale gas processing or brownfield/greenfield energy projects.
