Description: Silicon Hardware Engineering Internship
This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to diverse areas within Silicon Hardware Engineering, including:
• Silicon Architecture
• Circuit Design
• General Design
• Layout
• Logic
• Photonics
• Physical Design
• TFM
• Verification
• Product Engineering
• Validation and Debug
You’ll be involved in designing, building, and testing the technology that powers Intel’s processors and platforms. This role will involve transforming raw materials into the silicon that forms the foundation of advanced computing infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of silicon hardware components.
• Work alongside experienced engineers to gain valuable hands-on experience.
• Apply your knowledge of hardware architecture, data analysis, power and performance optimization, systems architecture, and hardware design to solve real-world challenges.
• Participate in test engineering, hardware validation, and debug processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
In addition to the required qualifications, the ideal candidate will demonstrate or be developing skills in:
• Debugging hardware
• Architecture
• Data analysis
• Power and performance analysis and optimization
• Systems architecture
• Hardware design knowledge
• Test engineering
• Hardware validation and debug
Currently pursuings:
• Minimum Currently pursuings: Enrolled/pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field with 3+ months of educational or industry experience.
• This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship.
Additional Information:
• This application is for Spring 2025 and Summer 2025 internships. You must be available to start work during this time frame.
• Relocation benefits may be available.
• Internship location will be based out of one of Intel’s US manufacturing or technology development sites (Oregon, California, New Mexico, Arizona). Internship location and modality of work will be communicated at time of offer.
• This position is not available in the state of Colorado.
