Shop Technician (Shop Tech – 1) | Stage 3
The Tone:
This is an entry-level, in-person role at Stage 3, located in Midland, TX. Stage 3 specializes in building high-quality solids control equipment for mud systems, designed to effectively manage solids and reduce costs for customers. This role is crucial for keeping Stage 3’s equipment and tools running at their best, tackling mechanical challenges, and ensuring top-notch results daily.

• Mission: Assist in the repair, maintenance, and rebuild of non-centrifuge and non-pump related solids control equipment.
• Tech Stack: Hand tools, power tools, hot-water pressure washer, tape measure, caliper, thread gauge.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Equipment Assembly: Assemble and prepare solids control equipment for installation and service.
• Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain non-centrifuge and non-pump related solids control equipment.
• Logistics Support: Assist with packing, wrapping, loading, and unloading of deliveries.
• Shop Operations: Operate a hot-water pressure washer to clean equipment and assist with facility projects like moving items and trash removal.
• Quality Assurance: Perform QA/QC checks prior to “Green-Tag” and install required S3S decals before equipment shipping.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older, with a mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
• Experience: Must have a valid State driver’s license, valid insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
• Skills: Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools and measuring devices like tape measures and calipers. Able to operate heavy equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Bonus: 1+ year of experience in a maintenance and repair environment. Forklift and/or Overhead Crane Certified (on-site training available). Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
