Assistant Shipping and Receiving Manager | McKamish Inc.

The Assistant Shipping and Receiving Manager plays a critical part in upholding operational standards and supporting the overall efficiency of the company’s supply chain.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Oversight: Assist the Shipping and Receiving Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and the timely, accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing products.
• Team Leadership & Development: Provide direct guidance, training, and supervision to the shipping and receiving staff, ensuring adherence to established procedures and the consistent achievement of performance standards.
• Shipment Coordination & Quality Control: Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, meticulously ensuring products are correctly loaded, accurately identified, and verified to be free from damage prior to dispatch.
• Problem Resolution & Process Improvement: Proactively identify and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies related to shipping and receiving, working to maintain process integrity and efficiency.
• Inventory Management & Compliance: Play a key role in tracking and organizing warehouse inventory effectively, while also ensuring compliance with all company policies and safety regulations related to storage and handling.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager. Demonstrated strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, logistics, and overall warehouse operations.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in shipping and receiving roles or broader warehouse operations.
• Skills: Demonstrated organizational skills for managing inventory and workflows, proficiency in computer skills for record-keeping and communication, and certified forklift operating experience.
• Bonus: Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
