What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant platform services and APIs.
• System Architecture: Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, ensuring services are built for reliability, maintainability, and future scalability.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize system efficiency, and ensure services meet stringent latency and throughput requirements.
• Operational Excellence: Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure the stability of production systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, other engineering teams, and operations to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with a core focus on building backend services and distributed systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, with hands-on expertise in designing and implementing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance distributed systems.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Java, Go, Python, C++, or similar backend languages; practical experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases; experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure); demonstrated ability to design and implement RESTful APIs or gRPC services; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex production environments.
• Bonus: Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS); familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes); knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, ELK stack); experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation); understanding of security best practices for backend services.
